This course has been designed to meet the needs of parents as they face up to the daily challenges of being mum or dad, or indeed mum & dad, to their families. There is no role more important than that of being a parent. There is no other role that is likely to bring with it such a roller-coaster of emotions – joy, anger, happiness, frustration, pride, embarrassment, sadness, elation, despair, jealousy, friendship, loneliness, and love.
This six hour course will cover simple coaching skills, enabling you to have the knowledge, resources, and the skills to be the best parent you can be with no guilt, no pressure, and no comparison.
Included in this course is 6 x 60 minute videos, weekly tasks and printable materials and life long insights and strategies that keep on giving long after the course ends!
Agenda
Session 1 – Ways of working, Introduction to coaching skills, happy childhood memories
Session 2 – Listening with a difference, time to think, other ways of listening
Session 3 – Families and the emotional bank account, position in the family
Session 4 – Understanding children’s communication (behaviour), encouraging good communication and responsibility.
Session 5 - Understanding feelings, recognising your own feelings
Session 6 – Taking care of yourself, recognising your needs, reflections
